Hello everyone. I just stumbled onto this website and thought I'd take a chance and ask your opinion on something. My car is getting pretty old, I've had it about 10 years now, and put a shade more than 200,000 miles on it. I've had pretty good luck with it, but it's getting about time for me to cash in my chips and get a new ride. I would love to hear what you recommend to me as a replacement.
Let me give you my situation and preferences. I am really interested in what I need and what I want.
First off, I am looking for a newer used car, nothing more than about 2-3 years old. I figure it's best to let some other person eat the depreciation.
I have two kids and a wife that need to be hauled here there and everywhere, so it needs to be pretty spacious. I'll put this next on in all caps so that you know I'm serious NOT AN SUV! I prefer sedans for the handling and MPG
And Speaking of MPGs, I've got a 70 mile round trip daily commute, so those are important.
I'm not a racer, but power is also important, and I've learned enough to know that power and the number of cylinders do not go hand in hand.
I like a comfortable ride, but I don't want to feel like I'm driving around my couch.
Reliability means a lot to me, but I'm not a mechanic so it should be easy to maintain. I plan on driving this car until there is no driving left in it.
Do your best people. What do you think should be my next ride?
