Saw a very nice rig pulled up in the neighborhood...obviously hauling some jazzy automotive candy.

Turns out it was my neighbor receiving delivery of a 2001 IndyCar.

Cosworth engine and electronics removed, as he will be fitting it out with dual Hyabusa engines from splattered bikes.

(http://is.gd/Wx6Vm2)  Putting TWO engines from what has been the world's fastest production motorcycle into a carbon fiber auto that weighs just a smudge more than the bike does should return it to nearly the 220mph top speed it had with the Cosworth.

Apparently the Indy Cars take more of a depreciation-beating than even a high end consumer auto.  This car costs about $500,000 back in it's day.  Now it was bought on Ebay for around $15k.
