I don't know how technical this topic is, but I have been thinking about trying Seafoam in the gas tank of my Trans Am as a means to try and clean the carburetor jets.  Does anyone have experience with Seafoam as a gas additive?  Could this potentially gunk up my fuel filter?

Well this is interesting, I would say yes and yes, and why. But curious.
Seafoam's good stuff.  I don't think you'll get much smoke if you add it to your gastank.  I think that happens mainly when you add it to the crankcase.  It couldn't hurt to get a tune-up after doing a Seafoam treatment though.  Good luck!
Ahh...I'm still a bit wary of the Seafoam. I'm planning to take the car for a tune up this weekend. I'll ask my mechanic his opinion too.
Be sure to change your air and fuel filters before going in, that helps more than CARB would like to admit.
Absolutely. That's next on my list for the car. Thanks!
